Training and Development

AGOC’s Training and Development Department (T&D) team is responsible for providing programs and resources that challenge employees at all levels. This includes professional skills development, mandated training and leadership development. T&D also provides all the support services for the scholarship program.

Scholarship Program

Aramco Gulf Operation Company (AGOC) has developed a number of educational programs designed to attract promising Saudi males from the local community, to provide them with an opportunity to develop their intellectual and academic talents through a creative, professional scholarship program.

College Degree Program for Non Employees

This developmental program is a key part of the Company’s community outreach program. It is opened at the end of the High Schools’ academic year. AGOC carefully selects a group of local high school graduates, who have performed with distinction, for each year’s intake. The students are provided with an opportunity to pursue their bachelor degree at prestigious universities and institutions located in Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.

The students selected by the Company for the College Degree Program for Non Employees (CDPNE), must pass through a challenging set of admissions criteria, which are reviewed annually by AGOC Executive Management. AGOC selects the undergraduate majors for this study program, based upon the Company’s business needs. The range of specialties primarily falls under Engineering and Science fields, as follows:

        Petroleum Engineering.                                    Chemical Engineering.
Mechanical Engineering.                                   Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
Geology / Geophysics.                                     Computer Engineering.
Marine Engineering / Nautical Science.               Accounting and Finance.

AGOC have also established a Summer Training Program for the CDPNE students, which is designed to provide them with additional job knowledge and skills, to prepare them for the future. Team building and full-time job assignments in different organizations and work locations, are organized over an eight week period.

Applications for the CDPNE Program are completed online through this website, in September each year. Notices will be posted on this website, however, for more information on the CDPNE application process and timeline, kindly Click Here .
